Yonder Festival 2022

A project born out of love and passion from a small team of creatives, Yonder is a multi-arts festival grounded in inclusivity and experimentation that focuses on supporting emerging and diverse artists in an immersive, collaborative environment. There are few times and places in life where the truly unimaginable takes place; and in these moments, these precious few instances, where reality drifts and fantasy takes hold, is where Yonder exists.

Xmas Beach BBQ Mooloolaba Beach

Sunshine Coast LBGTQI and partner community groups invite you to come along to our special end of year Christmas BBQ bash at Mooloolaba Beach. Lets celebrate our diversity in the LGBTQI community. Loads of fun, games, and more for kids and adults. Meet new friends and catch up with old friends, and friends you have not seen for a while.

Mooloolaba Christmas Lights

Summer evenings, Christmas lights and atmosphere – a lovely way to enjoy an evening in December. They offer Christmas Light Cruises throughout December.
The houses and pontoons are lit up beautifully, bring your own food or pre-purchase food and they will have it ready for you when you board.

Sunshine Coast NYE

New Year’s Eve is one of the most popular festivals celebrated by almost all nations worldwide, with the beautiful coastal area of the Sunshine Coast, celebrating this fantastic event with bright lights, entertainment and, of course… fireworks!

Sunshine Coast Council is changing the face of its New Year’s Eve Fireworks, adding two new locations and shifting back a gear to safer, more localised celebrations.

Steve Backshall – Ocean

Ocean is a love letter to the most exciting environment on our planet and a great way to learn more about what we need to do to save our seas. Saturday Night Festival

Innovative eats, immersive experiences, live music, experiential artists and local culture. An ever-evolving festival of flavour and sound in a shipping container playground, this is your new weekend destination. A smorgasbord of food, amusements, stalls, live music, immersive performances, community activations and experiential spaces. Built from upcycled shipping containers and disused materials, it is home to 40 entrepreneurs with global street food eats, desserts and market stalls.

Ginger Flower and Food Weekend

The Ginger Flower and Food Weekend is a huge event held at the ever-popular Ginger Factory on the Sunshine Coast. This festival runs over three days with heaps of food, flowers and entertainment for people of all ages.

Night Quarter

Horizon Festival

Horizon Festival is Sunshine Coast’s leading contemporary multi-arts festival, presenting 10 days and nights of visual art, music, theatre, dance, words and ideas, film and creative workshops; inspired by the stories and beauty of the Sunshine Coast.

Fun Run Pink

Fun Run Pink is a family fun run held as part of the Triathlon Pink at University of the Sunshine Coast in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The triathlon events are for women only, and boys & girls aged 7 to 13, but the the whole family can get involved in Fun Run Pink, which is open to all genders, young and old. The Triathlon Pink is held in several key Australian cities and raises money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.v

Super Series

QLD and Invitational NSW teams will compete at the 2023 SUPER SERIES event held at Sunshine Coast Stadium. Players from the Qld Junior & Senior State Cup will be selected into one of the 3 teams (Qld Jesters, Qld Rebels or Qld Fury) to take on NSW Invitational Teams & each other in a winner takes all style event.

Sunshine Coast Show

The annual 3 day Sunshine Coast Show is the oldest inclusive event on the Sunshine Coast. The family event highlights the abilities and talents of the local community while providing a platform to showcase local produce, livestock and other competitions such as wood chop and horse jumping – an event you can fully immerse yourself. Let the kids pat a cow, hold a chicken, baa at a sheep or learn the difference between an alpaca and llama. Spend time looking at amazing home made iced cakes, handcrafts and school work, then wonder through Side Show Alley and bump about in dodgem cars, grab a show bag or two, feast on dagwood dogs, fairy floss and donuts, to the extreme of flying through the air on a Show ride.

Ashes to Ashes – David Bowie Experience

Noosa Jazz Party

In 2023 the Noosa Heads Jazz Club will organise and stage the Noosa Jazz Festival, with the Noosa Jazz Party at The J Theatre as its centrepiece event. It will be a festival of performances every day over nine days in concert theatres, on river cruises at sunset, in restaurants and bars and an outdoor concert at a riverside park. A unique gathering of leading Australian and overseas-based jazz musicians coming together for a feast of exciting, classic jazz.
